I know - worked for a company with similar rules although it was "la semaine de 35 heures" - which meant something like 7 1/2 weeks off....
Really have a problem getting up - i like waking up early and staying in bed listening to the radio - loads of interesting talks about sociology, economics...it's my kinda thing.
what did you have for lunch ?
I'd do that too if I could. It only takes me about 7-8 minutes to walk to work, but I get up at around 6.15 cos I need to have time in the morning.
I had a green salad with tuna and garlic dressing. Be prepared for the smell when you come home.
We usually have a canteen where we pay a certain amount every month to eat there every day. It's quite cheap and very good. However, the canteen is always closed 4 weeks in the summer and 2 weeks over Christmas. One of the reception ladies then made a list where we could all order sandwiches/salads from this great café. They then deliver every day for 4 weeks and their food is brilliant :o)
worked for a long time in a place where the canteen was heavenly. Even my suppliers/clients wanted to eat at the canteen instead of going to a restaurant !
i miss it |

Then go find a place with a great cantine. I would recommend, however, that you avoid mentioning this at an interview. "So why would you like to work here?" "Boring job but great cantine". |

Now you see, our canteen is a 'heart cantine', ie one with healthy food! We don't get the fried stuff, not a lot of it anyway. So you wouldn't wanna be working here if you need fries every day. |

Unfortunately we're not in the French market because our biggest competitor is French. And I think it's the wrong business. But of course the canteen is good and the average age is about 37... :o) |

All this talk of work/canteen reminds me of an ex-colleague who was one of the filthiest person i've ever met.
As a joke we called him "Mr Propre" (like the cleaning product) because he stank, wore the same stuff for days...
Spotting him at the canteen used to make me feel sick.
This eejit once sat next to me and i left pretending i had errands to do - nearly threw up.
He got kicked out of the compnay for cheating on his travel expenses. |
