Now, I'm not able to comment on Amy Mac, but if on the menbtion of annoying:
Rihanna - Umbrella
Mika - anything that come out of his mouth
Timbaland - is he the new Pharell, and do we have to listen to him anywhere we go?
Nelly Furtado + Justin Timberlake - for the pure reason that they're annoying
Beyonce - now that Beautiful Liar song is getting on my nerves
Linkin Park - What I've done, annoying as hell
and the list goes on and on
Do you know a Danish singer called Thomas Helmig? He's been a pop star here for the past 20 years at least, and currently a rap group have nicked a chorus and made a rap. This piece of crap is driving me crazy, I just can't stand it!! |

Anyhow, it's great to have met (or at least seen) so many boardies cos it's nice to be able to connect a name with a face :o)
Which is why the Boardie Convention is such a good idea. And we could even get AmyMac to play at it
JUST KIDDING |

From what I've seen she's a nice of girl, I'm glad she's doin quite well - but her music really makes me wanna vomit the way its sung.
She seemed nice enough at the liquid rooms, but what she was saying made absolutely NO sense whatsoever, and unfortunately that goes for her lyrics as well... |

Well, they can't be very good if they're playing part of a track every 2-7 minutes. It's probably Radio 1 :P

goin on about mr rock and roll and apparently theyll meet again far away but someone wishes they knew someone before...
also at liquid rooms she goes (paraphrasing) "this song is about celebrities and how rubbish they are, I mean in the 60s" (?) "We had great icons like maralyn monroe, and now we've got like jade goodie from big brother..."
Right, Maralyn was a blonde bimbo who was and ignorant unintelligent good for nothing but flirting with presidents, taking drugs, and trying her best to get into films and shows, when all anyone really wanted was her on a poster. Jade Goodie is pretty much the same...only no one wants her on a poster and shes even thicker.
And as well as this, she herself is TRYING to be a celebrity (clearly) (and yes its going well enough) and was at show SUPPORTING celebrities (travis) - thats really a very VERY precocious set of statements to make... |

It makes perfect sense. It's about how people pretend to be something they're not, just to fit in with the crowd- hence the line, "It's so Rock and Roll to be alone" (probably about the Emo state of mind). The line you quoted is about 2 people who meet in later life and realise they would have been perfect for each other, hence "I wish i knew you before".
And anyway, since when did lyrics have to make sense to everyone? Especially judging all an artists lyrics on one song that you've heard. If you did this, Travis make no sense. Watch...
"Count the sheep jumping the fence, so i can see teepees when i'm feeling tents..."
Anyone?
And about the Marilyn Monroe thing, i think Amy meant she was a celebrity initially for her talent as an actress, and that's why she was celebrity. Jade Goodie is famous for no particular reason.
Oh, and if your favourite band in the world asked you to support them in your home country, i seriously doubt you'd turn it down. I know i bloody well wouldn't! |

Timbaland is a joke, he said 'Music is boring right now. I'm too innovative for the world', which is funny, because there's nothing special about his 'beats' and producing. He's either sampling, plagiarizing, or recycling his 'beats'. He produces 4 songs, and they all end up sounding the same. |
