Step, as in Step aerobics? I'm looking to start something like that in September cos I'm giving up mu other sport but I don't what to prance around in a stretchy little lycra number.

Yes, but I meant sports. I don't mix cocktails and sports.

Yes that's exactly what I do at a local fitness centre. They have classes on various levels, and I only avoid the basic ones cos they get a bit too basic after a while. But I love doing step cos it's different every time, plus it challenges your coordination skills as well as your general shape :o)

I know, i was watching the highlights and it flashed up. I didn't know whether to be disgusted, distraught or indifferent. It's a shame. What's this about Contador? :oS

Apparantly, he had a connection with Fuentes, that doctor who also had blood samples from Ullrich and Basso. But I haven't read the article, they just referred to it in a news story I saw today.

I don't know what to think either. Was he just so desperate that he took the chance or do the others do it as well without getting caught? Rasmussen pointed out today that he'd been tested 14 times in this tour alone, and they were all negative. But that doesn't mean he doesn't use some kind of doping they can't trace yet, or what?

I really hope that the doping sinners are exeptions, but maybe I'm just too gullible.

I never really understand it at all. On the UK coverage, they said he returned a blood sample that wasn't his, and at first i thought 'he's submitted someone elses blood cos he knows his is full of EPO?', but i don't get it!

Well people were convinced about Lance being on something untraceable for 7 tours, so it could be possible. Lance is my idol, so i don't believe that for one second, but who knows... It's just a shame that it's actually hit again this year. The Rasmussen stuff could have gone away if nothing was proven, but now this?

I really hope Contador isn't on anything. He's like the new hope or something- he's looking pretty darn strong and it's only his first tour! It'd be such a shame if he went too. And d'you know, i never heard the outcome of the Floyd Landis thing last year. What happened with that??? I know he got stripped of the tour title, but afterwards? Not that i care, cos i didn't like him anyway- he seemed like a jerk!

I would love to give it a go but I'd need to see if they do classes near me. I don't want to go to a place where it's far too serious - it's got to be fun or I give up after only a few sessions. Do you go just once a week or are you addicted to a session-a-day??

I'm not sure what he did either, Vino that is. With blood doping, they take some blood out before the competition, take out the red blood cells and put them back into the body after the body has regenerated the missing blood. Something like that anyway. But if there was another person's blood in there, maybe he got the blood cells from someone else? Unbelievable.

I just don't want all of this doping stuff to be true. I don't want Contador or anyone else to take doping.

Last I heard of Landis, he was still trying to appeal his case, even if both the A test and the B test came out positive for testosteron. I have no doubt in my mind that he's guilty as charged.

I do it between 3 and 5 times per week but obviously you don't have to do it that often... If you haven't tried it before, you should definitely try some basic stuff first to get the basic steps right. But just make sure that you advance to a level that challenges you. There's nothing more boring than an entire hour of basic steps if you wanna try something new.

It's certainly tainted what has been a great race anyway. I really hope Contador and Rasmussen are both clean and can fight a clean battle to the end.

Such a shame for the Astana team as well, and for Kazakhstan too. Their national team, the president so proud and promising to sponsor them for 10 years- and now this. Awful.

Och it's such an awful situation. Doping doesn't just ruin careers, it ruins so much more, like national pride or just some kids' dreams about becoming stars themselves.

Right, I'm off to bed. Hopefully for some doping-free dreaming.

Blimey, how much excess energy have you got to burn off??? I can see why you don't do beginners , LOL. I've done a tiny bit a few years ago in the UK but it got boring because we just kept repeating the same routines. We used to finish the classs by going down to the local for a quick pint which completely ruined the "let's get fit" idea. Wouldn't mind giving it another go. I'm assuming step classes exist in France!?!?
