I suppose it’s a bit of a stretch to link global warming awareness with a prize for peace, however I do support him and believe what Gore is doing is commendable.
We were talking about this in the newsroom today and I found out that some of my co-workers don’t believe in global warming. I think that’s just bizarre. |

Maybe global warming will ensue wars due to a lack of water (fresh water, that is) etc.
I also think that it's odd how some people can still deny the fact that the globe is getting warmer due to our pollution. Some time ago, I took part in an opinion poll. They asked whether I believed that CO2 could cause warming, and whether I thought we'd see the effects within my lifetime. Hello, we're seeing them already! |

Good point about the natural resources. Duh. Didn't think about that.
Yeah, it's pretty crazy how ignorant some people are. It's proven that the Earth's temperature is rising due to pollution, but they just refuse to face the facts. I write for an automotive paper though...so obviously they take the automaker's side in the matter. Not to mention they're all truck-driving, gun-touting Bush lovers. *barf*

Most people want to stop pollution and all that, as long as it doesn't affect their lives or habits in any way. |

My better half just told me today, that there are scientists who believe, that the Earth is in fact cooling, and anything humans do doesn't really affect it anyway.
It's bloody cold here today, if that's anything to go by... ;^) |
