I put off my only final to march.

march? What sort of schedule does the university system work on there, if you don't mind me asking?

We have two semesters. The first one is from march to the last days of june and the second one from august to the last days of november. In my career subjects last one semester (although we do have seminars that are a year long).
In most of the subjects we don't have obligatory finals (we can pass a class if we get at least 7/10 in each of the exams -usually 2 exams per subject). When we have to take final exams, we have several dates, and we just have to sign up for one and take the exam (two in each month: march, may, july, october and december). If we fail, we have to do the subject again.
If we don't take the exam after 2 years, we have to take that subject again.

Did that make any sense?

Interesting system. That's way different from what I'm used to (semesters August-December, January-May with mandatory finals). What's the career path that you're on now?

Other careers have mandatory finals in my uni.
I study Sociology.
When we finish high school we have to decide which career we want to study, we don't have majors and minors. We just choose a career. There are different universities (privet and public) with different plans (the same career can take longer if you go to certain university). I study in the University of Buenos Aires, it's one of the best unis of the country and it's public. It has this introductory basic course (CBC) that lasts a year to level out all the students. After that, you start the career you chose.
My career lasts five years (after the CBC). I've just finished my third. So two years to go...

What do you study?

Edit: We have different periods because here winter break is in july and summer break from december to march.

Thanks for the info.

I'm studying history, though I don't quite know what I'll do when I finish school.

My focus is mostly on World War II, Holocaust, 20th century Germany, etc...

Congrats Lindsey! You must feel good right now.

I celebrated today, went out for lunch, and dinner and am generally very happy today. Life is pretty good...

Wow, so interesting. Next semester I'm going to take a subject called Analysis of the Genocidal Social Practices (that would be the literal translation of the name).

I'm happy you're enjoying your free time :o).

Thanks guys, I think it's a pretty cool focus too. Some find it a little strange, but ah well.

And by the way, that class on genocide sounds very interesting, right up my alley. Let me know how you like it.
