there are two paths with a guard at each. you may only ask one question. one guard will tell the truth, the other will lie. what do you ask of them?
Btw, is there a limit to the number of questions you can ask?
Aw crap I've started thinking about it. Right. I'm off. Night! lol |

But...but...my post was the catalyst for the conversation. Dee just...just recited the riddle that some other genius made up. I mean, where's the skill in that?
Ok, I really am gonna go now, before I get hit. |

you see it's this nonsense and mischief thing thats coming to mind.
do you say stuff purely to get a reaction or because you mean it?
It depends on the situation, if it's not serious then.... I'm afraid it's mischief and nonsense.
However I have told people some things when I've been drunk and really passionately meant them.
The other problem though is what you may passionately believe in at midnight while you're hammered, might not be what you believe in at 8am the next morning, so you could have been telling the truth at the time, hmmm my brain hurts trying to figure this one out |

you see that's whats going through my head at the moment now too.
at least it's not over anything serious tonight, something really trivial made me start thinking retrospectively over moments & things that have been said. |

I think people are genuine, except for a few obvious bad bastards, So I would like to think people are telling you truthful things when they are intoxicated.
But people are also selfish (it's human nature I'm afraid) so they could just be telling you things for their own good.
Hmmm this is a toughie |

It's the way of the world I'm afraid. Everyone has it, it's how you deal with it that makes the difference. |

okay, i think i'm off to get a mug of tea and ponder further.
i think i'm more confused now then when i first asked...although then again the alcohol is wearing off so that extra confidence might have something to do with it...
