Hey Megg, have you been down to the salt mines? That was pretty awesome. There's an entire church carved from salt down there! A huge, elaborate staircase, columns, an alter, a crucifix. It was pretty amazing. I thought I was going to die on the elevator ride down though. It was pitch black o.o

Yes, it's great! I loved the chapel with huge chandeliers and sculptures. It looks amazing.

They even had a band down there! hehe.

I know, it's so so so interesting.
Definitely will do a few World War II visists when I go to Europe (2010 is my lucky year :oP).

The experience of visiting a concentration camp is so overwhelming. A couple of weeks ago I visited a building that was used as one from 1978 to 1979. It was my first visit to a concentration camp. So many people were killed and tortured there, and it's right in the middle of a neighbourhood. The place is empty, there's only a draft of how it looked like back then (because the police then pulled down the part of the cells once it stopped working as a concentration camp). Even though it's empty, what happened there is so terrible that it's SO intense just to be standing there.
It's tough, but I think it's important to know these things. It's part of the recent history of my country.
