This probably deserves it's own thread but...
I read this morning that Irish author Eoin Colfer (Atremis Fowl) has been selected to ressurect the Hitchiker's Guide to the Galaxy, the next installment will be called "And Another Thing..."
I'm not too sure how I feel about this, I mean Douglas Adams is dead maybe the series should die with him. It's never gonna be the same, worse or better but never the same, sorry

I agree...Eoin Colfer's books are enjoyable, but I don't think the Hitchhiker series should be continued by anybody!

It's Douglas Adam's style of writing that made the books so amazing, anyone else will either just be mimicing him or will do it completely differently, which would kinda defeat the point in my opinion. Where did you hear it? |

It was in one of those freebie papers that they give to commuters, The Herald or Metro or whatever, I'd imagine you can probably "google" it.

I'm currently reading Eats, Shoots and Leaves by Lynne Truss. It's actually a practical guidebook on punctuation, but so funny it makes me laugh aloud (a bit embarrasing on a crowded tram). |

I've recently re-read Carl Hiaasen... Tourist Season through to Basket Case. amazingly fantastic and cynical books.
Has anyone read anything else of his as I may pick up some stuff on reccommendation.
