good friend of mine was from Buenos Aires , he died from cancer like 10 years ago . Instead of shaking hands we would walk upto each other and then start shaking each others feet |

Love tango, milonga and zamba.
My favorites are:
*Volver (Always makes me wanna cry, it's beautiful)
*Alfonsina y el mar (Love this one, this song made me wanna to know more about Alfonsina Storni)
*Confesión (When I get drunk I sing this song, hahaha, really)
*Zamba de mi esperanza.
*El arriero (This song made me wanna know all Argentina and its people)
*Cafetín de Buenos Aires.
Just a few ones.
These songs and Oliverio Girondo with his "Veinte poemas para ser leídos en el tranvía" made me fall in love with Argentina and Buenos Aires.
Please tell me what other songs can you recommend to me.
AGUANTE ARGENTINA! =)

I don't know a few of those and I'm argentinian xD.
I'm not much of a tango girl myself. My sister's violin coach palys in this Orquesta Típica and it's beautiful (several violins, several bandoneones, a piano and sometimes a singer... I think that's it). But I don't know many songs.
I'm more into instrumental tango, like Astor Piazzolla. Classics: Adios Nonino, Libertango...
Oliverio Girondo!
Es la baba
Su baba
La efervescente baba
La baba cáustica
La baba doctorada...
Ok... I don't remember the order of the verses, but that poem just sticked to my mind xD |
