for what it's worth i think Ronaldo is one of the top foreign players the EPL has seen, but make no mistake about it as soon as utd's bubble bursts or as soon as things don't go his way he will be in a Madrid shirt sooner than you can say Adios, his top priority is himself

Well yeah i have said that he will only be able united for a couple of more years because he will still want to improve and move on etc. He still cares for a team whilst he's there though, even if he does think of himself and what is best for his career, which a lot of players do.

Ronaldo though, ultimately choked again? Messi wouldn't have missed that penalty. Still gave it the big'un in the post-match interview, despite being let off the hook BIG TIME.

A little humility would go a long way with that lad.

'I played well in my opinion'..... Against a right back who's actually a midfielder and gave you a free header. Lol. There isn't one time when I've watched him and thought I've been watching GREATNESS, not like the feeling you get when Ronaldo, Ronaldinho, Henry, Zidane and all were at their best. He's not even on the same page as any of them yet.

Edit :- Like Monkey said, I was chuffed for Giggs. The rest of 'em I'm not fussed on, Darren Fletcher a champions league winner? Fucking stroll on.

Did Darren Flectcher play? NO then leave him alone!

I think John Terry choked more than Ronaldo did! Ronaldo's penalty was saved, Terry completely missed! I may be biased because i'm a united fan but you obviously miss the skill that Ronaldo quite obviously posesses! He is a wow factor but he also regards the team. He said after the match that the team did more...and he's only young, he has far much more to show yet!

Yeah but the thing is, no-one runs around saying John Terry's the BEST PLAYER ON THE PLANET. I haven't said that he hasn't got skill, just that he is nowhere near being a great, so it's a little extreme that you think I'm 'obviously missing the skill he posesses'.

Of course the team did more, for starters all the other penalty takers did significantly more, I don't think that a player saying that should necessarily be awarded a million modesty points, it's common sense. Any modesty points are instantly wiped out by that stupid collapse at the end, really classless. Would you see Giggs or Scholes do that?

No chance.

What's Fletcher playing got to do with anything as well? Strange.

I'm not saying that Ronaldo is a great but they way you were talking about him made it sound like he was below average when he clearly isn't. Not everyone goes around saying that he is the best player on the planet but awards do say something about his talent. You get loads of reporters chatting on about Terry and Lampard and i don't think they're fantastic.

I wasn't saying he said that for "modesty points" what a stupid thing to say! My point was that he isn't just out for himself most of the time, he was very much about the team after not just chatting on about what a great game he had which you said. Once again, he is a young player and whose to judge what he does at the end of a match, it might have meant so much to him that that's just what he did. Bloody hell are we at a stage at jumping on a player that's just won a cup who obviously aggrivates you just because he lay on the floor! At his age Giggs might have done that but whose to know!

1/ I didn't say, nor imply that he was below average. Even if you take what I say and take it to extremes, you would be hard pushed to come to that conclusion.

2/ I didn't say everyone says he's the best in the world, in fact I didn't say anyone said it, I said that no-one said that Terry was.

3/ I said the modesty points thing, and didn't even try and attribute it to you.

4/ I'm just giving my opinion on his actions, I agree with Moray that he was attention seeking, if that's judging then so be it, every football fan does it, whether rightly or wrongly.

I agree somewhat, if he can do it over 4/5/6 years then he can put himself up with the biggest and best, the Cantonas, Bergkamps and Zolas of this world. For what it's worth, I think Torres will push him very close on goals next season.

I can't believe you're giving JT a hard time. The man played his heart out and slipped at the last second. That penalty was going in, but for an inch of post. One dry blade of grass and that trophy was chelsea's, and Mr Chelsea had won it. Ease off him. Such are the margins of that game.

Oh and I thought Frank Lampard gave a really elloquent post match interview. Very collected, very well spoken.

Drogba will be gone this summer. He'll be villified for a while now.
