Could you elaborate on why you think Waiting for the Great Leap Forwards - Billy Bragg and Cannonball by The Breeders are "pretentious crap" ???
I'm not being smart I'm genuinely interested.
as for the other stuff perhaps you weren't around or weren't paying attention but the 80's were very pretentious

it's all weird french instrumental stuff. i think you got the wrong end of the stick.

no bother, i could see how you could think that, i just type away assuming other people understand wtf i'm on about.
