Hehe, when I went to get my national insurance number in Glasgow, I had to answer a lot of questions. This woman was sitting with my passport in her hands and still she kept thinking I was Dutch. "So, did you fly directly from Amsterdam?" - "Erm, no, I've never been there" lol
But yeah, I'm Danish :oP
When I got this job, it was mostly a question of having finished my degree and wanting a job. I got it quite quickly though (before I got my actual exam papers), and it's turned out to be very interesting and challenging and all that. The interpretation stuff is on the side. I'm with an agency for that but most people speak English, so it's rarely needed. Too bad though, cos you have to practice this skill, otherwise you'll lose it.
And yeah, I liked Lyon. I lived in the Western part, which is the ancient part of Lyon. I wasn't too impressed with the East end cos it was a bit too industrial for my liking. And yes, the food was good!
