you're right!!
he wins
Yeah!! And I'm hoping you meant "she" wins. ; )
ooops, yes, of course!
if it can help, someone here used to think i was a man, too!!
Yeah, there have been several instances of that I hear. But I hope that most people can guess that with "mom" in my name, I am, in fact, a girl. : )
I am Italian and all our words end with a vowel, so, I never read your user name properly until now, you know when you see words and don't really read them, I used to focus on the first part (what my brain reads as the first part) "weirdmo" and never tried to read the rest of it, and that sounds masculine!
now i get it weird mom in austin. This makes sense. Lot more sense than "weirdmo" which means nothing!! |

They pay 30 £ (that's 10£ each.)
The owner of the restaurant decides to give them a special discount, so he gives them 5 £ back.
They take 1 £ each and give the last 2 £ to the waitress.
So, getting the 1 £ back means that they paid 9 £ each.
3 times 9 is 27 £ that's how much they paid together. Plus the 2 £ they gave to the waitress it's 29 £.
Where did we lose 1 £ ?
ok ok i have found the solution right now while i was trying to explain it to you. see if you get mad as i did..
oh, don't post the answer here if you know it, send me private message or there's no fun!
a kid in primary school with a basic working knowledge of add/subtract/divide could answer this
getting the £5 back means they paid £25 between the three, or £8.33 each. Plus the 3x £1, plus the £2. Its simple! |
