3 friends have dinner in a restaurant.
They pay 30 £ (that's 10£ each.)
The owner of the restaurant decides to give them a special discount, so he gives them 5 £ back.
They take 1 £ each and give the last 2 £ to the waitress.
So, getting the 1 £ back means that they paid 9 £ each.
3 times 9 is 27 £ that's how much they paid together. Plus the 2 £ they gave to the waitress it's 29 £.
Where did we lose 1 £ ?
