What??! Man, another thing to add to my list of reasons I'm jealous I don't live over there.

Ok- so i worked 66 hours in 5 days last week. Bearing in mind i'm meant to be a student, and it's a part-time job, it's a lot! On friday i worked 16 and a half hours to set up and then help run The Hoosiers gig (they're poo btw). Although it did make me appreciate just how much work it is to set up for a big gig. Mucho respecto to all Travis' roadies now! haha

I think it's legal if you do it voluntarily. If you're on a rota for that long, i think that's when it gets a bit dubious. So i was shattered on friday night, but had a lovely weekend off, and this week won't be as manic. I'm back at class, so i can't work them long hours like before. YAS!!

It's only legal if you have signed an "opting out from the working time regulations" form or if the choice of opting out appears in your employment contract. The DTI website lists a few basics regarding the Working Time regulations in place in the UK since 98, worth reading.

But long shifts can be fun when doing something exciting!
