That's what I was thinking, I don't think they are! For the past few months I've been working 10 hour shifts and that's enough for me! |

I did a 6pm to 6am shift once at a Royal Mail sorting office.... I remember having to be prodded several times to keep me awake :D

I used to pull 15 hour shifts when I managed a bar, from doing plates of cooked breakfasts at 9am to last orders at midnight, fuelled by Red Bulls & Pro Plus and the energy of youth ;-)
7 years on and 9 hours at work wears me out now =( |

Ok- so i worked 66 hours in 5 days last week. Bearing in mind i'm meant to be a student, and it's a part-time job, it's a lot! On friday i worked 16 and a half hours to set up and then help run The Hoosiers gig (they're poo btw). Although it did make me appreciate just how much work it is to set up for a big gig. Mucho respecto to all Travis' roadies now! haha
I think it's legal if you do it voluntarily. If you're on a rota for that long, i think that's when it gets a bit dubious. So i was shattered on friday night, but had a lovely weekend off, and this week won't be as manic. I'm back at class, so i can't work them long hours like before. YAS!! |

But because you're studying you don't pay tax, so you'll see every penny of what you earn.
Every cloud has a silver lining and that. |

This is true. And thanks for reminding me i've to do my tax forms from other jobs!
In actual fact i really enjoyed the work. Since i work for the student's union i got to meet practically every person enrolling, so it was really cool. The only downpoint was having to listen to The Hoosiers all week! haha |
