Hey Carlotta! Never talked to you. Where do you live now? Where in Houston did you live? As a kid I lived in Detroit, Michigan, then Sarasota, Florida and finally Sugar Land, Texas. Needless to say it was a shock to go from laid back beachville to a preppy suburb of Houston.

I know some people who like Houston. But a lot who don't. I guess most people I know who lived there live in Austin and are like me in that they feel much happier and comfortable here.

So what do you think of what Dubz overheard? Do you think Houston is ugly but has a great personality?

Hello there. I grew up in the Copperfield area of Houston(Northwest side). If I lived in Sugarland, I'd probably not have too high an opinion of H-town either ;) I'm currently in WA state about a half hr ferry ride from Seattle. My hubby is a navy man, and we move alot and it's always some place way too backwoods for me! I do believe what Dubz heard is fairly accurate, seems odd for that to be said across the pond, but hey, we r Texas :)

Glad you can feel my pain about Sugar Land. I think the Northwest side was way better.

It is random that he overheard that conversation in another country. Dubz I am assuming it was tourists? Or does the world revolve that much around Texas?

Yea, I've never heard that phrase before and assume it was a tourist who said it. However, I do believe that the world does revolve around Texas, at least tey should ;) I think I shall ask some friends if they've heard it before.
