haha!!
I think it is only a tiny bit true...
Yeah, there are lots of pretty girls from dallas *ahem* and yeah, lots of bitchy pretty girls too (not me!) but, it's the same for Houston. and both are full of good-personalitied (yeah, i made it up) girls that aren't so pretty...
I kinda agree with the pretty bitchy girls in Dallas though!
There's always been some sort of rivalry btwn Dallas and Houston...I'm from Dallas, so I'll be a bit biased! |

Dubz
ah...well, in that case, I do agree...
Dallas is a bit pretentious...well, a lot pretentious. so, I gather that's where they get the Bitchy part. It's 'cleaner' or newer than Houston as far as buildings, upkeep.
Houston's a bit old and dingy in some parts. But, it's more laid back. It's not as superficial as Dallas.
And Austin is just amazing...(just ask weirdmom). Austin has the best of both worlds. It's gorgeous, and it's laid-back. There is always something to do, or something that everyone can do in Austin! |

I agree. I think Houston is boring and has no personality. So I think it's ugly AND doesn't have a great personality. : )
I've only been to Dallas once so I don't really know but the word on the street is that it's pretty pretentious. I can spot a "Dallas girl" a mile away. She has LOTS of makeup on and her hair is overly styled and highlighted.
I know they're not all that way (Sandy certainly isn't) but I'll say that 9 times out of 10 if a girl looks like that she is from Dallas.
Austin rocks. It's pretty, laid back, interesting. It's the only city in Texas I could live in. |

LOL. I don't think I'm welcome even if there is one. |

that's hilarious! it's mosty true what you said about the dallas girl...well, I'm from dallas...but I live outside of dallas now. i'm about 45 minutes away, in Denton, which is the poor man's Austin. Not as pretty, but pretty laid back. Oh, not as many hippies or tree-huggers either! ;) |

I know you live in Denton and I figured that helped influence you not being totally plastic. ; )
Denton is cool. Never heard it called a poor man's Austin. Funny and true. |

| Allow me to interject...I've had more fun in Houston than I've had living any where else. I am from the place so maybe that has something to do with it. I've been gone for 3 yrs now and am dying to go back. As far as stuff to do and types of people, I believe both Dallas and Houston are equal. I do agree with Dallas being nicer to look at but hey, that's why I never lived in downtown Houston :) |

Hey Carlotta! Never talked to you. Where do you live now? Where in Houston did you live? As a kid I lived in Detroit, Michigan, then Sarasota, Florida and finally Sugar Land, Texas. Needless to say it was a shock to go from laid back beachville to a preppy suburb of Houston.
I know some people who like Houston. But a lot who don't. I guess most people I know who lived there live in Austin and are like me in that they feel much happier and comfortable here.
So what do you think of what Dubz overheard? Do you think Houston is ugly but has a great personality? |
