one can only purchase fireworks in december ? really ?
what if you celebrate something in the summer ?
What a nightmare. I'm sure I'll read about it in the newspapers if the strike goes on.
If you have something to celebrate in the summer, you'll have to hire someone professional. Basically, they've made this law because too many people got injured when trying to handle it. They've also restricted the how much powder each firework item can contain etc. Last year, the police found some illegal stocks. One of them was in a flat in a rather large building, and if the stock had exploded, it would have taken down the entire building.
So basically, the idea is to prevent all those accidents. However, people smuggle all the illegal stuff into the country instead.
you'll hear from the papers AND me about the strikes !
not sure we have similar regulations but i reckon it's dangerous to do that on your own

Got free shipping on everything. It has all arrived at my house safe and sound. I have bought my husband the most romantic gift--a heater. It's for his office. The poor guy works in a cinder-block office with no heat and no window. Makes a cubicle look like heaven on earth.
My friend says that's how you know when the honeymoon is over. You start giving tools and appliances as gifts.
If it's an appliance that he really needs, then it's not too bad lol
It's a great idea to do all your shopping online. That way you can avoid the masses of people pushing and shoving. The only advantage of shopping in real life is that you get your presents wrapped in store. I'm crap at wrapping presents so I'm all to happy to let professionals do it... |

I'm sure I will lol
To be honest, the most effective way of preventing these accidents would probably be to forbid fireworks on New Year's Eve. Seriously. The combination of alcohol and fireworks is really quite litterally explosive... |

| Lucky you! The only present I have done so far is one for my grandma...which I made, LOL. (I'm giving her the painting I posted a few days ago. Got it framed today.) So...yeeeaaah. I'm screwed. The malls are insane! |

och aye I'm not surprised, the ever efficient Hanne :) got some presies but need some more... Freya still wants a stocking so I've to chase up some more smallish items. Just as well we are staying at home, so I don't have to buy presents for the rest of the clan!

Oh that must save you some shopping. I don't envy the fact that you have to find small items. Mind, jewellery will usually fit in a sock... Not sure whether your bank account will appreciate this though lol |

| lol, there is only so much soap you can use in one year... I've bought body shop shampoo for my friend in Turkey. She can't get it there, and since she's home for Christmas I'm seeing her this weekend :o) |

I have two exceptions lol :oP
I've gotten myself a customer card for Body Shop to get a 10% discount. I love their products but I've only discovered recently that they have a shop in this town... dunno how I didn't see it lol |
