Oh, it's quite a nice "heat wave" now, after being "comfortably numb" last night. Ahhhhhh.
I feel I should write an ode to the furnace.
Oh furnace, with your ductwork so gray, reaching out to all our rooms like a giant sheet metal hug. You stand so solemnly in the basement, alone. You run for us so tirelessly. We never stop to contemplate the modern marvel that you are. We take your warmth for granted until you punish us with your icy stillness. Oh, furnace, come back to us, please, for you are the heart of our home.
Not bad for 2 minutes, aye?
Time to put the pot roast on. We're having my parents over for Christmas Eve dinner. I am quite capable of cooking pot roast, so there will be no Thanksgiving drama. |

Good ! Santa has to know about all regional traditions.
I'm sure your kiddos will have a hard time falling asleep tonight, waiting for le Père Noel is exciting. |

Yes we do put our slippers by the tree - usually right before going to sleep.
Just like many kids i was always hoping i'd see Santa and would tried to stay awake for as long as i could...
My niece puts a little snack for Santa "because he has so much to do he needs to eat" - the cutest thing is when she gets up, rushes to see if he came and notices he did and even ate part of the snack !
why is your daughter worried ?
she thinks Santa won't remember her ? |
