i not long finished years and years of computing at college, won a bit of money (i gamble)so i'm quickly spending that and i'm currently looking for something more steady. i struggle to keep interest in things for long :)

So...
where in the UK do you live? Sorry if I seem nosy, I like to meet new people.

Dumfries, Scotland. it's a small town, not much happens, if anything [/quote

Ooooo, you're Scottish! You just went up by 10 cool points. I think I'm slowly becoming an anglophile. I watched two hours of BBC america today. And I'm in love with Edgar Wright, right now...

woohoo 10 cool points, what's that now -5 lol
what about you, where you from?

Thought you'd never ask! I hail from Overland Park, Kansas. It is a satellite city of Kansas City, MISSOURI. It sits on the state line between Kansas and Missouri (literally there's a street called state line). It's number 6 on CNN's best places to live in the US. It's a really nice area to live in but there are some downsides. Kansas is of course the home of Fred Phelps. We've recently had trouble with evolution and intelligent design in the curriculum. Uhhh... it's the home of Sprint, which is where my dad works. Uh, my high school was number 673 on the nations 100 best high schools. I'll think of more...

lucky you!, nice place to live, good schools, maybe i should move lol. wish i had a few nice numbers to rattle off but i don't.as for the phelps family the less said the better :(

and what makes her weird

Yes, my name is Anne. Monkey, there are so many things that make me weird I wouldn't know where to start : ) I'm not as new agie hippie but more than once I've been compared to Phoebe from Friends. I think the random say/do whatever comes in my head aspect is what people think is similar to that character.

I think I came up with that handle because while being a mom is a huge part of my idenity and I'm thrilled to be one, I feel you can get trapped into this "now you're a mom so you can't have a personality or a life" thing. It took me a little bit but I think I've figured out that balance. The mom/family thing is definitely the center of my life but I still try and be weird, wild, nerdy Anne. Sadly I see a lot of moms making the mistake of forgetting who they are or what they like to do that is just for them.

OK that was probably much deeper than anyone was wanting. I am off to bed. Nighty night!

Night Anne!

Haha, I KNOW! You should come to the US. Girls go ga ga over guys with accents. Really. The panties will drop as soon as you open your mouth. Do you own a kilt? If so, I am totally interested. :)

Just kidding, but seriously, does every Scotsman own a kilt?

Lauren is totally right on this. American girls go cuh-razy for any sort of British accents. It's pretty amusing to watch. But perhaps we shouldn't encourage him to be a man-whore if he needs to do some reflection on his choice in women.
