Hey!
Some of you probably know this, but I drive in off-road competitions in my Dad's Land Rover/Range Rover (depending on what's running at the time!).
Well, up until the 8th of May I could only drive in junior competitions, known as Tyro trials. But, as I've now turned 17 and I have my provisional driving license I can drive in licensed competitions (RTV trials). RTV's are much more challenging than Tyro trials, but they are also a lot more fun!
This weekend just gone, I drove in my first ever RTV trial- my god was it fun! I drove the Range Rover, and got it very muddy (also dented the wing and broke the sidelight, indicator and headlight due to a hole that was rather deeper than expected...). I wasn't expecting to do particularly well in the competition, I was just out to enjoy myself... But I came 1st in my class! I beat all the other Range Rovers and long wheelbase Land Rovers!
Only problem is I'm no longer a novice in these trials, so I have no excuse for doing badly ;-P

Thanks Kayte! Haha I don't think he's too bothered... Believe me he's done a lot worse :-P - He's ripped the exhaust pipe and box off a few times, gone through many doors and dented the roof (to mention but a few!) so it's not as bad, nothing that can't be replaced/fixed anyway ;-) |

Ahh yes, right hand drive! So very British :-P
Been on Wikipedia- only 4 countries in Europe drive on the left: Ireland, the UK, Cyprus and Malta apparently. Interesting stuff.., Or not as the case may be ;-) |

I would love to rent a car and just drive through the Scottish highlands or something sometime, but I would never get used to driving on the left.
I will just have to settle for a cross country Cdn drive. Oh it will be glorious. Stopping at all the giant roadside attractions. |

Thanks Anne and Lindsay! Yep it's soooo much fun (even if you do get stuck and dent the car ;-P)! :-D

I would love to do that too- except I'd take the Range Rover and I'd be used to driving on the left... I'd just have to get used to driving ON the road lol |
