I agree with you. The slow ones makes me want to sleep. hehe Ooh and there has to be lots of dirbaki (sp?) in the song! :-)

I don't know much either..my background is actually Iranian so I've heard similar music, but Persian music is crap for the most part. Arabic/Turkish music sounds good. Greek music is good too.
If you're into the Middle Eastern/Mediterranean music you might enjoy these.
http://youtube.com/watch?v=6KR-Se-7qtY Nancy Ajram-Yay (Lebanese)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=jXwbJxpVgjo Antique-Opa Opa (It's a Greek song by a Greek-Swedish band)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=3o9A7z8U9r0 Cameron Cartio-Roma (Spanish song with Arabic flavor, by an Iranian singer) lol
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=8MSkFzfD79s (Persian/English song, a cover of a French song I think)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TR1ttVCvi_M (Persian 'pop' song)
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=SEISbioJvnA (Persian duo, this one is more for humour, cuz the guys look so girly)
I only put the Persian ones cuz they kinda copy from the Arabic style of music lol..I hope you like them? I don't know tho it's all very 'pop'

Just shake the ass to the beat, and it's all good! lol It's a drum, it's called 'tabla' in Turkish.
Here's a photo of it

Maybe this will suit you more:) If you want world music, check out Mano Negra, really cool music. Nowadays it is just Manu Chao, since Mano Negra split up. |
