I recorded it a week ago and I watched some of it yesterday. Gonna finish it today. It seems like one of those films that you have to watch at least once, but I'm not sure I want to see it more than once. It's a bit like watching Titanic in the sense that you KNOW that people will die in a brutal way even before the film has begun.
So far, it shows the conflict between the hutus and the tutis quite well, I think. When the genocide started back in 1994, I remember watching the news and for the first time, I really realised that murdering random people because they belong to a certain part of the population is not a thing of the past. Until then (I was 14), I thought of these things as something you'd hear about in school. But suddenly it dawned on me that this was going on right now, in my time. To me, it's one of these moments that I'll never forget.
Then again, who can forget the genocide of about a million people :oS
