these guys are fucking out there completely and utterly but for some reason it works.

yeah it's definitely something you might need to invest some time in but once it clicks it's great stuff!
there was a band from back in the early 00s, Gwei-Lo, have you ever heard of them. they did instrumentally stuff too and were great, sadly the leader/guitarist, Al Booker, passed away on stage at a gig :/ the one ,self-titled, album they released is really great though, check it out if you can find trax.
