My uncle is a priest in an inner-city parish and over a family dinner told us this story:
A young kid of 16 or 17 had come in to confession for the first time.
"Forgive me father, for oi ave' sinned; I had sex outside of marriage."
"Did you use protection?"
"No, me ma says that wouldn't be very Catholic."
