premise - you're going to be stuck on a desert island for quite some time. you've been told that you can bring 10 albums with you to have and listen to while stuck on aforementioned island.
question - what 10 albums would you bring to the desert island? don't have to be in no steeenkin' order 'la, just list the 10 platters and tell us all why you picked 'em maybe, yeah, that'd be kinda interestin' *sniffle*

On the Police's Outlandos D'Amour it sounds as if sting is indeed singing about the merits of the middle aged, mildly attractive (albiet in the 80's), news reader. on the track So Lonely |

At the moment, it'd be...
Good Feeling - Travis
L.A. Woman - The Doors
Urban Hymns - The Verve
Harvest - Neil Young
Set List - The Frames
Bridge Over Troubled Water - Simon & Garfunkel (cos it'd remind me of my Mum)
The Cost - The Frames
Kind of Blue - Miles Davis (cos it'd remind me of my Dad)
Debut - Bjork
Since Kyabram - Declan O'Rourke
...but the list changes all the time- they're my current/overall faves at the minute anyway |

Chutes Too Narrow - The Shins
Through The Windowpane - Guillemots
Funeral - Arcade Fire
Broken Social Scene - Broken Social Scene
Ys - Joanna Newsom (just cos)
(all 5 of the above are modern classics and worthy of any top 10 list)
CSS - Cansei De Ser Sexy (keep the spirits up!)
Dear Catastrophe Waitress - Belle & Sebastian (pure pop perfection in every song)
Grace - Jeff Buckley (cos he was the man, greatest voice of his generation and few have bettered it)
The Invisible Band - Travis (still sounds fresh as the day it was released)
Hail To The Thief - Radiohead (the one that got me listening to Radiohead and still my favourite)
