How long do you reckon Gordon Brown will last?
My bet is:
- Labour Party split in 3 months (after all the reshuffling)
- Brown's popularity rating plummets when he says "No"to giving the British public a referendum on the E.U. constitution...sorry, treaty.
- Snap elections in 2008 > Labour out, Tories in, Lib Dems down, SNP up, Greens up (marginally, by default, as they have that good-looking girls speaking for them now), Plaid Cymru stable.
EDIT: Title changed to avoid causing alarm. |

Who knows, it sounds like Brown has leaned to use words like 'listening' and 'consensus'. Oh, and he's also started to smile and got a haircut. What more do you want from a prime minister?
We'll see what the future brings but I don't think that Brown can be in office too long before there has to be an election. |

That's funny. I thought we'd given him 10 years. He may have personal differences with Blair, but on policies?... |

Yeah he probably does have different policy issues. Seeing as politicians ain't supposed to publically disagree with policy n that. Collective ministerial responsibility.
(I am just remembering stuff from me politics exam haha) |

| I hope we're all ready for 10 years of Tories (they've been taking it in turns; 15 yrs Tories, 10 yrsof Labour, now back to Tories). I know I am. |

| I'm not knocking him personally. I do admire him in a certain way. I just think 10 years is enough for one man. |

I agree with you Joe, Blair did great things (notably his role in detachment of Bank of England, making it independent and less affeted by political concerns, in turn placing more emphasis on economic well-being) though he has come to the end of his premiership...ahhh, the end is nigh...in fact, no...the end has ARRIVED! Heheheh
Personally, I wouldn't call it 'fecking off'...though I give you credit for amusing me... |
