Turn was the song that really made me a travis fan...a friend of mine who was like an older brother really turned me on to Travis in fact...when he moved away our friendship crumbled...and so hearing 'Turn' is almost unbearable for me now....

so i'm wondering...what great songs have people ruined for you??

For many years "One" by U2. I got over it when I could replace the negative memories associated with one person with good memories with a new person.

Well that's good. There are so many songs that I associate with people (or what we were doing) that they are pretty much all I can think about when I hear it. Thankfully it's mainly good so it's fun. And some songs that were ruined I didn't love in the first place so it's OK. : )

Two songs I can live without but I can hardly hear them without crying (so I change the station): "She Drives Me Crazy" by Fine Young Cannibals and "Seasons in the Sun" by Terry Jacks.

I know the first one esp. is totally random but I associate it with someone who passed away so that's why it breaks my heart.

Ahhhh 'You'll Never Walk Alone'. My nan (pure Liverpudlian) passed away a year ago, it was played at her funeral. It sounds awful but the first few second of the song made every tough scouser in the room crumble and I can't but laugh when I think about it!
