Fine, ta! I'm sitting wasting loads of time on the computer and yet I've got tons of stuff I want to do. Don't really want to go out cos it's cold so may have a major clear-out here at home. It is nice not having to rush around though. How're things with you? More mobile now?
Oh BTW, thanks for the radio link the other day (it's my kind of stuff)
Got to take the kids back to school, I'll try and get back on later. Ciao.

I reckon Travis messageboard is highly addictive.
Have a nice lunch with les petits. What are you cooking ?

Rapées (spécialité stéphanoise)/ salade verte - yum! You see, I AM learning about French food, ha. I know what you mean about this board being addictive - I mustn't spend my whole summer on here - nice as it is, chatting with everyone.

also interested in british cuisine although it sounds like an oxymoron - a bit like saying "german sens of humor".

LOL

il y a des expressions similaires à ma région d'origine, le Jura (c'est dans l'est)

Ok, here goes, quick French cookery lesson for beginners.
- grate some potatoes (pdt spécial four)
- mix with a couple of beaten eggs
- add seasoning (garlic, salt and pepper)
- fry like an omelette
et voilà!
You can also add other stuff (cheese, grated courgettes, onions etc)
Ends up like a Spanish tortilla but they say it comes from where I live, haha. (reckon they're lying and have pinched the idea) Cheap and easy recipe though :-)

I've heard of this but I have a hard enough time just speaking french, lol.
I'm a bit worried that my eldest boy (he's 8 and moved to France when he was 4) is picking up a very broad Stéphanois accent (sounds awful) The problem is it'll only get worse, argggh! He also now speaks English with a French accent!!!!!

merci !

Franchement !

How can he speak english with a french accent AND have an english teacher as a mum ? Does yr husband speak english to the kids as well or stick to french ?
Stephanois accent cannot be as horrible as quebecois accent - i mean it's just frightening.
