I think he got suspended by the Italian cycling association. Since he was part of a Danish team when they caught him, there's been a lot of media coverage here. And now that Bjarne Riis has admitted to using doping during his win in 1996, he won't be following his team around France.

I wonder if cycling will ever be able to get rid of that shadow.

Oh right, thanks for the heads up :)
Yeah, it's a shame for the guys who actually can do it cleanly- they're always suspected if they do well, Lance as the prime example, even though they're just outstanding athletes. Mucho respecto!

Haha, yeah- it's great. Ross Noble and Graham Norton are also good on that show. But Clement Freud is just hilarious! I love his dry wit, he's brilliant

That's the thing... even with the doping, they're still great athletes. I find the hill in this town a bit difficult on a bike sometimes, and I couldn't imagine going up l'Alpe d'Huez. I suppose doping is the one thing that makes the difference between those who win, and those who just get across the mountains in one piece.

There's a lot of money involved via sponsors and media attention is huge.
I don't think guys can compete without the help of dope which is a disaster.

Did you see l'Alpe d'Huez a few years ago when they had to time trial up it? I think that was some of the most incredible feats ive ever seen! Even the guys who were slow at it, i was just amazed. Of course, Lance blew everyone away that day as well. Awesome

Yes I remember that stage. Those time trials always seem to mix up the game... And I can't help wondering whether Armstrong was doped. Probably like everyone else. Of course he vehemently denies it and I don't think he's ever been tested positive. However, winning the Tour 7 times in the light of all these scandals... What about Indurain? Ullrich? Lemond? Where they doped? We know for sure that Virenque was doped like the rest of the Festina team.

Btw, I like the way you say Lance... Like you're best buddies lol

Me and my Dad tried it once, but it just didn't seem as funny as the real thing.

Did you ever hear where they had to speak on 'A minute'? That was one of the funniest ones i've ever heard. Apart from Ross Noble and his Chicekens one!
