| a friend of mine continues to invite me (and another friend of ours) to get togethers he's having...which normally wouldn't be a problem...but, wherever he is, his girlfriend is. we don't like her...or rather, we don't like him when he's with her....so we always find excuses to not show up...have you guys got any fresh excuses i could throw his way next time he asks??? much appreciated! |

...ever have that friend who acts like someone they're not when they're trying to impress people?? that's kind of what he does...he doesn't want her to see what a jerk he really is...=X (i may sound like a jerk but there are loads of reasons why i no longer see him as a pal...) |

Edit: I wrote this before seeing your response. : )
I am guessing that he is different around her and that gets on your nerves? And the girlfriend/boyfriend thing is touchy because you could voice some negative opinion and then they end up together forever and you look like a schmuck.
But having said that if you have the type of relationship where you can be more straightforward with him, I would tell him what you don't like- esp. if it's about him rather than her.
Otherwise he might finally stop asking you and your friend to do stuff and that friendship might fade. |
