Seconded that! Hehe
I really like the song 'Horse and I' . According to what i heard she's recorded this song in a Forest the night . Really mystic! ;-)
She reminds me a bit Bjork sometimes . |

2nd year in a row? Doubtful. The album's not as good as the 1st one. My money's on Klaxons. |

| Yup he does have a luvly voice.I think the bookies have made Winehouse favourite.I have a bit of a luv/hate relationship with her.At times I really like her and others I just can't listen to it for long. |

Dizzie Rascal ??? why do they keep insisting that talentless fuck is any good, maybe it's a "black" thing?? |

Considering Fionn Regan is the only one of those albums i have, my vote goes for him.
Even though it was released in 2006, i'll let it slide.. |

I thought the Mercury Music Prize was meant to be for sort of original and unique sounding albums? A lot of what's there, or what i've heard of it, seems to be an awful lot of 'same old same old'. I mean, you can hardly call The View original-sounding, can you?
It's not a dig at any of the bands in particular, but i just don't think that any of the ones i've heard of in the list are very original. Even Fionn Regan, who i think is great, isn't totally original. In fact, in the Irish music scene, where he comes from, as a whole, his music pretty much is a generic example of what there is. |
