Je vais trés bien, et toi?
I went out to buy new fitness shoes yesterday. I ended up paying almost £140 for them :oS They're better than the old ones that were worn out, but it's still a lot of money... |

it is indeed a lot of money - do you see them as an investment ?
it's my way of rationalising most things ! |

Oh, I like your avatar ;o)
I see it as an investment in my health on several levels. Of course I can't do all that much sport without a proper pair of shoes. But it's also an investment in the sense that I won't need a hip replacement in 20 years. The shop had cheaper shoes, but they were right. See, I've got too big feed to find proper aerobic shoes (it's hard enough to find normal women's shoes), so I use running shoes instead. And I needed neutral shoes, not pronation shoes. Most people tend to sort of tilt their foot inwards when they run, so a lot of shoes have a certain support to force the foot into place. If I got one of the cheaper shoes, it would have forced my foot into a wrong position. Result: injuries in knees, ancles etc. So I chose to spend a little more money instead of giving myself an injury. |

Yeah, good idea. Although I doubt it's any cheaper with the cigarettes and all.
Right, got some laundry to pick up and then I'm off to bed. |
