Maybe it's because i'm more of a Family Guy fanatic now but i wasn't that impressed by the Simpsons Movie. It was funny at first but it kinda dragged on. IMO the tv show has been going downhill for a while now, they don't seem to be anywhere near as good as they used to be.
Spider pig was great though! |

Oh no, i totally disagree. The Simpsons has just changed- it's just as funny now as it ever was. Slightly more random humour, but that's ok.
The movie for me was brilliant. The first 45 minutes is just non-stop, there's a slight dip until Homer gets lost in the snow (the funniest bit for me) and then afterwards it's just all go again. I swear i was crying with laughter, even the second time! And i'm really not a film person at all. Just can't hold my attention. This on the other hand.. lol.
And i don't care what anyone thinks, The Simpsons created Family Guy!! ;) and is still better |

| Do you not think it lost its way a bit? The classic Simpsons episodes used to do loads of film paradies and had really good story lines. I feel recently that it takes ages to get to a plot/joke and is always rushed at the end. Don't get me wrong i still laugh at it but it's only occasional things. Maybe my humour has developed too... |

| To be honest i've not seen a lot of the "newer" ones. I mean, there's 4 a night on Sky- and i rarely watch any of them. But from what i've seen, they're just brilliant. Like this one is just the outright funniest opening 3 minutes of anything ever! |

i really did enjoy the simpsons film - it was well put together and funny ... it just left me wanting more, which in this case wasn't a good thing. i wanted laugh out loud on the floor funny and this just... well, it couldn't top my favourite episode - the one that Troy McClure is in the Planet of the Apes - the Musical? That one is by far my favourite simpsons moment ever and this movie just didn't come close to that.
still it was fun :) |
