No, I just don't like to be run off the road by people who are oblivious to cars around them! |

| The whole issue of global warming seems to have made no lasting impression on them either. |

It's not so much the vehicle, but how they drive them. Hmmm, that's another pet peeve. Bad drivers. We NEVER think WE'RE the bad drivers, do we?! Hehe! |

| Yep, you're right. It's against the law to use a handheld phone here whilst driving, is it the same for the US? |

well, no one's saying it's against the law...we're just saying people don't particularly drive too well whilst using their cell phones--they just don't pay as much attention to the road.
and, actually...in some states/cities, you are required to use a headset--or else you're ticketed... |

I wish, I'm sure many states are pushing for it...there's just so much red tape. Speaking of cell phones, that's another pet peeve of mine. A ringing cell phone during the middle of Sunday mass is ridiculous! |

In the US, the laws about this vary by state.

Pet peeves, let's see..
People who use message boards to cause arguments, and then argue something they don't fully understand themselves- oh, and people who just generally talk rubbish, especially when it's not funny in the slightest.
Oh yeah! And when people don't use the correct form of Their, They're, and There. That one really bugs me!
Grrr |
