In Amy Mac's latest blog she says this:
"First of all i have to rant about my new gadget. My sound man Matt has been taunting me with this for the past week, so i had to get one. It's a tiny mobile modem with slots into your laptop, and allows broadband internet wherever you are.
I have to say it's amazing. I'm travelling through fields right now, yet i've got my high speed internet connection...pretty cool eh?"
I NEED one of these, but i've no idea what it's called or where i could get one. Can anyone help me with this please? What's it called? Where do i get one and how much do they cost?
PLEASE HELP |

I'd guess that's what it's called- but what's the actual gadget called?
Oh and congrats on passing the 1000 post mark :) |

Cool! Thanks. I won't ask any questions since you claim to be a computer dunce.. haha.
Anyone else know about these? How much? Is there a subscription, etc? |

No idea- seems to be. Subscription charge is a bit of a pain like, but i guess that figures.
Sent a message to our Amy, so hopefully she'll get back to me about it- she's usually good at getting back to people :) |

Ahh mobile as in mobile. I was thinking 'on the move' kind of 'mobile'.
EVDO doesn't seem to have appeared over here yet anyways.

| Well see i don't know. First thing i'd heard about it was from Amy's blog- so i don't know if it's linked to mobile phones or what! Just think it'd be brilliant, especially since i'll be moving into a flat with no phone line and thus no internet soon :( |

| Not too bad. The only reason i'm on so much now is cos i hardly know anyone at home, whereas i'll have classes, studying and all my mates and work and stuff when i'm back over. It'd just be nice to still be able to download music! :) |
