Hey, I've just found out there's a STEP class starting mid - September in MY village. Have no idea what level it'll be or if they'll mix levels but I'm excited at finding something so close to home. Thursday evenings for a 75 min session. Anyway, just wanted to say thanks or I may not even have thought of looking into this if you hadn't mentioned it on here.
I'll let you know how I get on - hopefully I won't keel over in 15 minutes with a threatened heart attack! Eeeek about time I got fit and worked off all the holiday excess.

Go on Deebee !

Good for you btw - it's such a hassle when you have to drive and/or go to town to exercise.

Well, lazy purple, normally I'd have to go into St Etienne which is a 15 min drive and this is down the rod which is fantastic. It's run by the Centre social so don't know how much it'll cost. I can only sign up after the 10th Sept.

It should be cheap enough i think - i think it's great.
Going to St Etienne to exercize ? I don't think so !!!
Also, you'll meet locals : potential clients and new friends.

Hope so! I really miss the sports club/class atmosphere. The only problem is I often suggest going for a drink afterwards which undoes all our hard work, LOL!

No it doesn't !

My parents friends (all in their 70's) joined a "club de marche" a while ago and used to alternate "bonnes bouffes entre amis" et 10 km walks.
A doctor told them it was the safest road to heart problems because they did both things in excess !

Love it! Excellent idea. Well, hubby's home now Abs, so I'm off to watch a film with him. Have a good evening and hope it goes well at the ANPE tomorrow.

Have fun :oD I hope you'll like it as much as I do. If they don't tell you which level it is, it's probably mixed level. They'll show the basic stuff to you if you ask. Apart from that, you just have to hang on and give it at least 4-5 times before giving up lol

I was away for two weeks and got back Monday, and the first two days my calves were killing me. But it's already better :o)

Can't wait to hear about your class!

Morning Hanne
I really want to give this a serious go - no quitting (just yet anyway, LOL) I hope it's a good bunch of people and not just oldies in their 50s who want to appear cool by being at a STEP class. I'm a bit worried about how I'll walk after the first few sessions - I suspect I'm really going to suffer. Lots of arnica and stretching/gentle cool down and fingers crossed. I'll keep you posted once it starts. But thanks again for the motivation.
