I know she is in the UK but perhaps she hasn't made it to France (and you don't have kids so you are understandably not up on the preschool TV scene. Her name is Dora the Explorer and she and best friend Boots the monkey have little adventures. She speaks English and Spanish and is very upbeat and happy. Which makes me want to punch her in the face.
(ok, that's probably because my daughter begs to watch her 24/7 and not really Dora's fault)

In high school my choir got to sing at Carnegie Hall (along with a few other choirs from around the country). I look up at the balcony at one point and see two old dudes with crazy hair wearing suits. They looked just like the Muppets. I almost cracked up right then and there on the stage. |
