| Hi all! I just recently discovered Travis. (I come from a very Travis-deprived area, you see. We need a charity or something.) I caught Why Does It Always Rain On Me coming from a radio station across the border in Canada and I was hooked. I was surprised to find out that it wasn't a cool new song. It's a cool old song. Since then, I've spent an exorbitant amount of time on YouTube listening to every Travis bit I could find. Like Travis School, I guess. I'm probably too old to be on this site, but...I get the strangest feeling, I belong! |

Well welcome! Don't worry there are lots of old people here. Some are even, like 20! No, there is more of a mix than you might imagine. (I'm 31)
So you are in the US but close the Canadian border? Where exactly?
Oh, and I hope you get to see them live. If you think you like them now, you're doing to lose your mind when you see them live. |

First of all, nice to see you here.
Secondly, trust me, you aren't too old :)
You're at the start of the Travis journey, you lucky lucky thing! That song is what got a lot of people hooked. There's a whole album's worth before that was released to enjoy too.
Enjoy the forum, and ask away if there's any Travis related stuff you'd like to know. There's bound to be someone who knows the answer.

| Cool! I'm originally from there and another boardie, Nikki, lives there. Travis is about to announce some more U.S. dates so cross your fingers they'll come back to Detroit. You have got to make it a priority to go. They'll rock your socks and your face off. |

Hey Turtleneck (cute name) :) I'm the Nikki WeirdMom speaks of! YAY! Another Detroit-area boardie!! So I'm guessing you heard "Why Does It Always Rain On Me" on The River? Right? Great station! I actually MET Fran & Dougie through that station before they were here July 18 and ROCKED Clutch Cargos!! I really hope you discovered Travis before that...if not, you missed an AMAZING show...no worries though...they said they'll be back soon! :)
