I hope my wife doesn't read this.....
So...I'm trying to figure out a way to take my wife to see Travis at least one more time on this tour.
First problem is that all of the dates I can or want to see fall over the Thanksgiving holiday or when I am already travelling to a city they visited a week before....except Seattle, which is on a Saturday night before Thanksgiving.
So....I book two flights to Seattle...if there are no flights than there is no way to see them. Get the flights...CHECK.
Go online to ticketmaster...2 seats on the left side in front of Dougie...row W, but, hey, we've already seen them twice....CHECK.
Ticketmaster "Sorry, this is a restricted event and only available to those with a billing address in Washington or the surrounding states"..or something like that...I guess this is to stop scalpers???
Either way, just emailed co-workers in Seattle and they are getting the tickets for me. WHEW!!
Wait until the wife finds out we are flying out on a Saturday morning to the West coast to have a fancy dinner, stay in a nice hotel and then fly home the next day.
I should be set "sex-wise" for the next year! ; )

No shit...how the fuck does two $30 tickets equal $88??
You would think that me printing out the tickets myself would actually SAVE them money...but no...they would rather print and pay to mail tickets to you as the "free" option.
Anyway....I agreed to go help out on a couple of presentations in Chicago next week for the girl buying the tickets for me and she's taking care of them...WOOO HOOO!!! |

Hey Moz! I'm trying to get to the Seattle show too! Maybe I'll see you there!
I think it's general admission. Even though it says seats, all the tickets cost the same so... but maybe I'm wrong. |

You lucky ducks! I wish I could get off work and make it out to see them somewhere on the west coast!
Moz, if you and your wife meet up with the band after the gig make sure to ask when they'll be back to Detroit (or Pontiac :P) |

Well, I only get a week vacation...and I wanted to save it up to go to Europe with my boyfriend. We still have to plan where we're going and all that...but maybe I can somehow convince him to plan our trip around Travis so we can make it out to see them somewhere over there...that would be a dream come true!!! :) He likes them too (not nearly as much as I do,lol) but still...I don't think it should be a problem.

I have a theory that Travis was going to tour in the U.S. more this fall but altered their plan to do some South American and Mexican gigs. As much as it pains me to say it, especially since it'll be a miracle if they schedule more US gigs, I feel like those fans deserve it. The level of enthusiasm they show is awesome.
(I'll go hide in the corner while the US fans berate me for my betrayal!) |
