Hey there! :)

I saw you posted A-Ha's "Take On Me" video in the Memorable Videos thread and was just wondering if you (or anyone else) likes any of their newer stuff?! I love A-Ha! Their non-80s stuff is actually REALLY good! Check these out...

I Wish I Cared

Summer Moved On

Forever Not Yours

PS: Turtleneck (sorry, I don't know your name :P) what city in Mich. are ya from? I'm from White Lake...any clue where that is?

I'm going to have a listen later on. Thanks. Take on Me is my FAVE song of all time..Love the synth beat, love the video..don't like the voice but it's an awesome song. Captures the whole spirit of the 80s.

:O DON'T like the voice? Ooooh...that's the best part! When he hits that high note! It's magic! LOL.

:) Cool. Hope you like the new stuff.

I have yet to meet a girl who wasn't, at some point, in love with that guy! He is so dreamy. Like Jake Ryan from 16 Candles dreamy.

I hardly believe you love A-Ha... :) It's fran-tastic.
I love the guys, too. Especially the songs of '80s: Take on me, Scoundrel days, Train of thought, I've been losing you... His voice and the two other boys' competence ... gorgeous.

I thought you went to bed! LIAR! hahaha

*EDIT: Watching the ending of 'Saved!' where the baby is born and 'Flowers in the Window' is playing. I want to cry. It's so good and moving. Ok I'm done being emotional.

Wow, I have my own FAO message already. I feel so warm inside. I had no idea that A-Ha was still A-Ha-ing after all these years. Now that I look at him again, doesn't Morten bear a resemblance to Clint Black? Must be the squinty eyes. I think the new stuff would have to grow on me. I always liked And You Tell Me. Short, but nice.

I had no idea where White Lake was, but I Googled and it's about 40 miles north of me. I'm from Allen Park, "the jewel of Downriver." Ha ha!

I was a little jealous that you got a FAO with a-ha in the subject line. Nikki, thanks for sharing. I had no idea either. I liked the 1st and the 3rd tracks especially. It's not the typical type of music I'm into but it was good.

Haha...I know, I felt special to get my first "FAO-type" thread too!

Ahhh yes...Allen Park. We're not that far from each other! :) White Lake is just west of Pontiac & Waterford.

So I heard "Side" on the River today while stuck in I-75 traffic...it made the ride so much better! Did you hear it?!

No, I missed it. But guess what--I ordered my first two Travis CD's and they should be arriving any day now. Finally portable Travis. I'm just giddy with excitement.

As a fellow contry woman of the guys in A-Ha, I guess I'm obliged to love them ;)Besides Morten Harket's mum was a teacher at my old middle school. Take On Me was even released the year I was born. I have a couple of the 80s albums and their newest one, Analogue. I LOVE Analogue. If I should recommend a few songs of it, it would have to be:

Birthright
Holy Ground
Halfway Through The Tour and
The Summers Of Our Youth
