What is a jalaperos? and what is a panch forom? and what is cilantro?
I want to cook a Bengali Fish Curry and the recipe asks for these things |

Ok, I like recipes so decided to go looking!
I also got curious and googled jalaperos, but didn't get much joy. Did you mean jalapenos? They're little spicy peppers, I think. Used in recipes to give a kick! |

I love cilantro! It is used a lot in Mexican cooking. I somehow didn't know it was the same as coriander. Coriander is the seeds and cilantro is the leaves.

I was just looking it up because I was confused and wiki said that cilantro is the leaves and coriander is the seed. News to me.
I love it but my husband hates it. Someone once told him that they did some study and there is some indicator of whether or not cilantro will taste good or like dirt (as he thinks it tastes). |

I guess but I think over here (at least in Texas) they would look at you crazy if you asked for coriander leaves. It's cilantro here.
