| That's great! In college some friends took a child psych class and the professor gave them this list of affirmative things to say to a child. It was super cheese and of course we had to mock it by making our own list. The two that I remember were "when you cry you ruin our family" and "you aren't getting any dinner until you do something to DESERVE your dinner!" |

and anne, one of the ones i've read to say to child if they ask why it's raning...say "God's crying because he can see you're not behaving!" LOL |

| REad them as a kid and planning to reread them to my daughter when she's old enough. Especially "Sam the firefighter cat", since her name is Sam. |
