Our lives are eerily similar. If you tell me you have two nostrils (I mean in your nose)then I'm going to call Ripley's Believe it or Not.

How did you choose your screen name by the way?

Two nostrils, YES! In my nose, just like you said!

The Turtle moniker has followed me around since I was about 10 or 11. My aunt bought me 5 turtlnecks for Christmas one year and I wore them all the time and it just became something for which I was known. Then someone said I ate like a turtle because I was always leaving scraps (apparently turtles leave scraps when they eat) and I tend to be rather shy, so people were telling me to come out of my shell. My husband picked up on it and started calling me Turtle when we were dating. "Turtle" is kind of a common internet name, so I picked Turtleneck (I still wear them) when I started my blog. That's the whole boring story. Actually that's just what I tell people. The truth is, I'm a crazy spinster Turtle Lady with hundreds of heated aquariums lining the walls of every room in my house.

Ah, like me you're not really married. Another thing in common! Yes, Lauren found me out. I'm actually a crazy cat lady and rent a family for pictures and for when I'm feeling lonely.

I guess Turtleneck is better than my friend's fiance's nickname: Moosey. Apparently when she was a baby she was chunky beyond belief so one of her aunts called her Moosey- as in huge. It stuck.
