I loved the music from the movie "Once" and I just got an email from a venue this morning listing the concerts for the month. I really really hope I get to go to this one:

| cool! i saw the swell season open for damien rice last year. haven't seen martha wainwright though. i think that would be a mellow and interesting gig. |

| i would so love to go, weirdmom! when i saw them, they were very casual and had good humor. people in the crowd were yelling out songs by the frames! glen was such a nice guy, indulged the crowd and he and marketa sang "star star". |

where've i been? i clearly wasn't paying attention.
i just got tix to this friday's swell season gig. YAY! i get to see them again and this time round, as a headliner.

Hubby (clearly showing he's insane) has just said he doesn't want to go to the show. I have a friend who wants to go so it's all good. And I'll go by myself if she ends up not being able to go. |

we can have a virtual date? :-) i'm going to the gig by myself cos my regular gig companion says they're "gigged out". can you believe it?
i swear, i'm gonna fly out there sometime for one of those SXSW things!

OK! How about when you're at the gig you can pretend I'm next to you. You can look over at the empty space, smile wistfully at the beauty of their harmonies. Every once in awhile lean over and yell something in my invisible ear. Then cock your head as if I'm responding. Finally, laugh hysterically at my imaginary joke.

weirdmom, our virtual gig date went so well!!
what happened, you ask? let me refresh your memory-- it was a very awesome show! it rocked! joe and colm of the frames were on stage as well. we even met and chatted with glen and marketa afterwards and they both signed our set list.
it was sweet seeing the swell season for the second time around!! :-D
