| It's sad, but it's true! Spanish clubs are really good (my favourite team is, of course, Real Madrid), but our national team is.. how can I say that? It's not a team, you know what I mean? |

| OK, I'll try to explain that. I don't know if you know the political situation in Spain. There are some parts that don't want to belong to Spain. They say they don't feel Spanish (some people from Catalonia and Basque Country), and the national team is supposed to be the team of everyone (as we say here), but I don't think so; people don't care about the national team; I'm sure that if you ask me: what do you prefer, Spain winning the World Cup or Real Madrid winning the Champions League? I would answer the second one. And that feeling is tangibly in some players. Besides, we never won a title... wait a minute. We did, but it was a long time ago. People know (before the tournament starts) that we won't win the cup.... |

There used to be a Polska (or is it Polski??) guy living here so I have been watching this campaign with a bit of interest, they show all the Polish matches on Setanta because there is a fair amount of migrants living/working here at the moment.
Well Done!!

Ok ! Thanks for the explanation
The french team lacks a genuine team spirit - too many of these guys are successful with their own teams and don't seem to care about the national team.
Also, they spend a lot of time promoting brands they're paid to represent.
Add to this a clash of egos between players and a bad manager.

Not at all, Abs!
I think that the problem that France has is that players are old, aren't they? And everyone was surprised that you played the World Cup final in 2006 with almost the same players who won the cup in 1998.
I think, one of the countries with 100% of team spirit is Argentina. Spanish players should copy some things about those players. |
