peeps! my best friend cockblocked big time today!
i'm going to the movies tomorrow (or should i say today?? saturday)....with a guy i like...a coworker of ours in another office....anyway, my friend knows i like him...and yet she felt the need to drop hints to him that she would have liked to have been invited but that she'd feel like the third wheel....so of course both he and i try to convince her to come with and she makes a big deal about it...so now even though she isn't coming i know it's going to be weird because we're both going to feel like crap that she isn't there.....i don't really understand how this happened....to be honest i'm a little hurt with her and yet i somehow managed to be the one apologizing that she didn't get invited in the first place....i think i deserve a bit of an apology as well??? or am i totally in the wrong??? |

Well, it could be worse. When I think of the word cockblock I envision a scenario like this:
Guy: Hey, I'm really liking Celleny, what do you think?
Your friend: Dude, she has the funkiest morning breath ever...
So, it could have been worse. But a friend who cockblocks, is not a friend of mine. |

Your friends, an even worse your co-workers, don't have to know every detail of your life - keep things to yourself, have your own "private garden".
Also this girl from work doesn't sound like a genuine friend otherwise she would not act like she does.
Work is probably the worst place to expose your private life btw.
Edit : friendly co-worker doesn't always mean "friend".

good morning all!
quick update: at about 11:30pm last night i get a text from my friend saying she thinks she wants to come ot the movies afterall and is that still alright? I respond it is even though i really mean it is not! haha
Today sucks already. My only comfort is that we will be watching 'no country for old men'.
Abs, thank you! I'm keeping much more hidden away from now on.
Gladly, was this better?? LOL!! i believe i used two commas? haha |

Are you serious? Goosey, I don't know her but she's not your friend at all or she's just stupid. Does she know that you like him? If so, I guess she's jealous- maybe she's into him or something? You should've told her to peace the fuck out! |

Noooooo!!! I can't believe this girl.
Cel, she's being everything but a friend to you, let her know that!!!
She just wants to be the centre of attention, after her little scene yesterday... tell her to relax and mind her own business! Don't keep it to yourself because her attitude really sucks big time!
Seriously, she's getting on my nerves!
Try to have a great time no matter what *hugs* |

I'm a firm believer in speaking the truth. If I was in the situation I would've said to the chick something along the lines of "Ya know homegirl, I kinda like this guy and would like to get to know him one on one. So maybe another time we can all go to the movies." I'm guessing it's a bit too late now, but she seems a bit insecure from the lil bit I've read. Thank God I'm married and don't have to deal with dating any more, shew! |

I kind of agree with guys in situations like these...woman are strange characters!!
This sounds suspiciously like secondary school to me...
If I were you I'd tell her where to go. |
