Anybody here want to help me procrastinate? I have two essays in for next week, but I only have the conclusions to write on each of them. ish. So, y'know, I don't really have to do any work. I can put it off for today. *reassures self*.
Anyway, I think this place needs livening up a bit. Lets have an in-depth discussion about which is better: chocolate cake or sticky toffee pudding. Because, these are the things that really matter in life. Not essays. *reassures self again*. And, are the puddings best on their own, with ice cream, or with custard?
It's a difficult one, but I'm gonna say sticky toffee. With warm custard for the cold days ahead. Yummy.

For really cold days....
Hot Toddy (I've been told I make a very good one)
you will need, 1 bottle of Jameson Irish Whiskey, some Whole Cloves, some Honey (squeezy is better), Demera Sugar and a couple of Lemons.
Get a glass with a handle,
Add a liberal measure of Jimie
a spoon full of Sugar
and a large dollop of Honey
then cut a large wedge of Lemon and stick half a dozen or so Cloves into it.
Add boiling water, squeeze the lemon and then drop it into the glass.

Pure Bliss and great for clearing your head (well one is, when you start taking more things can get a little fuzzy)

Yeah but no but yeah but...I can't work here in my room because it's distracting but I don't wanna walk to library or computer lab 'cos it's chucking it down, and I'm allergic to rain, and it might start with thunder and lightning and I might get struck and die, and just thinking about dying has made me depressed now so i'm not at full potential to write an essay now anyways...
So. Lets talk about puddings. |

Sounds impressive. I'll probably just mess it up if I try and make it though. Just send me some via mail next time you make it, lol. |

Chocolate cake hands down, and this baby needs no accompaniment:

An excellent idea, who needs work when you can discuss pudding!
Chocolate cake just scrapes it, but only if it's perfectly squidgy and runny and delicious :)
And any pudding is made better by this:

Pretty much my favourite food in the world, don't ask me why! |

Oh dear, poor you. You'll have to stay inside then, we couldn't possibly let you go out when it's that risky ;) |

You should join the Pudding Club. We have a cookbook they published. It has some amazing recipes. And one intro has a dig at Americans that makes us giggle.
There is one chocolate one that is so rich that even me, a chocolate fanatic, can only handle a few bites at a time.
What do you have to write about in your essays? |

If I join the club, do I get some free samples?
My 'Media & Cultural Studies' essay is about a topic we're studying called 'myth'. Myth is, according to some French bloke called Roland Barthes, the thing within stuff that creates meaning. Yes, it really is that vague. His work about it is here, but unless you're incredibly bored, I wouldn't recommend it.
My second one is for my documentary course, and I'm doing it on Reality TV (it isn't actually very 'real' at all :p). Which is much more down-to-earth. |

How's that procrastinating going then? I'm quite bored myself. Tried Xmas shopping this morning. Lasted half an hour and so far everyone has books for Xmas. Yes, in case you hadn't guesed I made it to the bookshop and then turned tail and came home.
My favourite pudding is cheesecake closely followed by lemon meringue pie. Apparently I really like yellow puddings. Not yellow snow mind you. |

Oh the procrastinating is going swimmingly - been playing on the Nintendo Wii for the last hour or so, lol.
My Christmas shopping tends to be half-hearted to say the least. I always have a 'last resort' present in mind (in yesterday's case, cinema vouchers), and then end up just buying it as soon as I get into town 'cos I can't be arsed looking around. I've still got the main bulk of Christmas shopping to do...usually just go shopping with my dad a few days before Christmas and buy random stuff in a panic.
Yellow snow - not the tastiest of things (er, I'd imagine). It's always nice going into a field when its snowed and finding a bit of that yummy ol' brown snow though. I mean, I can only assume the farmer is a little clumsy in dropping chocolate. What else could it be? |
