First of all, I would like to wish u all a great Christmas full of love and blessings, and of course a great New Year.
I was thinking about giving a Special Gift to Travis and all my friends here, and maybe would be cool if we share some moments of our own Christmas in our Country, Town or Home, Who did u share it with? what did u eat? do u celebrate any other tradition in this season? Show us !!!!!
The San Ramon`s Park, in my small town (u can only see it like this on Christmas)

These is our Traditional dish in this season, we call it "TAMAL", all the families get together to prepare this tipical food

My Grandparents help too ;)

Some family moments

The night of Dic 24

When I used to work in downtown Detroit, there were a lot of people of Mexican heritage there. It was the tradition to have tomales (spelling?) at the Christmas party. They used to tell new employees that they were supposed to eat the corn husks and then laugh when the people tried to pretend they enjoyed it. I was lucky. Two people pulled me aside and said, "No matter what they tell you, you don't eat the corn husks!" |

merry christmas luiiis! your family seems so nice :)
humitas are like the corn leaf filled with processed corn, like a paste, it's delicious! you open the leaf (don't eat it xD) and you can have the corn with some tomatoes, whatever you want. tamales look delicious aswell!
here, at least in my house, we eat meat with danish potatoes (papas duquesas jaja), it's not like they're from denmark, it's only the name, they're small round-shaped potatoes :P I love it! christmas is all about the family, jesus and food haha |
